| Mod Type: Optimization | Download Size: 7.3 MiB | Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch Link | Creator: Arthmoor | Initial Launch: September 22nd, 2018 | Mod Type: Optimization | Download Size: 7.3 MiB
Anyone who has ever played a Bethesda game knows that they aren’t exactly known for their bug repair and optimization abilities. This is where the mod “Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch” saves the day.
- What exactly does it alter? Over a hundred problems in gameplay, NPCs, and text have been fixed.
- What’s the point of having it? It’s a Bethesda game, after all.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Any and all playstyles are acceptable.

Listening to the radios in Bethesda’s Fallout games has always been a blast. Every Fallout game, on the other hand, has that one tune that makes you moan. This mod resolves the issue.
- What exactly does it alter? Collectible holotapes are added to play music from Diamond City Radio.
- What’s the point of having it? Allows gamers to listen to their preferred music without being forced to listen to Travis “Lonely” Miles or any other songs they dislike.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Any and all playstyles are acceptable.

Infinite Ammo Companion
Bethesda via HGG / Gibson Ross image
| Mod Type: Quality of Life | Download Size: 23.1 KiB | Companion Infinite Ammo Link | Creator: Olofstrom | Initial Launch: October 7th, 2017 | Mod Type: Quality of Life | Download Size: 23.1 KiB | Companion Infinite Ammo Link
Fallout 4’s friends are invaluable in a battle, and it’s difficult to explain a game without them. The main issue is that they may run out of ammunition much too quickly, causing you to flee. This is a nice concept for survival mode playthroughs, but it may be a big hassle if you simply want to enjoy the game for its shooting and exploring.
- What exactly does it alter? Allows your friends to shoot their weapons without having to worry about running out of ammunition.
- What’s the point of having it? Removes the annoyance of needing to replenish your friends’ ammunition whenever they run out.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Companion-focused builds and non-survival mode playthroughs.

What is it about open-world RPGs that I despise the most? It’s not a lack of substance, a monotonous quest design, or lifeless wide landscapes that’s the problem. It’s the hacking mini-games, stupid. Cobal, the mod’s creator, agreed, which is why he created “Quick Hack And Pick.”
- What exactly does it alter? Hacking and pick-locking minigames are now different. The bobby pin may now be turned from anywhere on the lock. There will only ever be one term to choose from when it comes to hacking.
- What’s the point of having it? The hacking minigame in Fallout 4 is a pain to play, and this is a fantastic solution.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Builds that aren’t stealthy and gamers that aren’t interested in hacking or locking.

You Get to Pick Your Perks
Bethesda via HGG / Gibson Ross image
Mttprc11 | November 19th, 2016 | Initial Launch | Mod Type: Cheat | Download Size: 115.5 KiB | Choose Your Own Perks Link
While several playthroughs of Fallout 4 are recommended, not everyone has the time or patience to try out every build. Thankfully, the mod “Choose Your Own Perks” generates magazines for every perk in the game in a locker right outside Vault 111. This enables you to try them all out before incorporating them into your game. You could also just equip every perk and become a deity. It’s your game, so make your own rules!
- What exactly does it alter? Adds all of the game’s perks in one convenient place.
- What’s the point of having it? To try out benefits that you’re not sure about.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Playthroughs two and three.

Graphics and Weather Improvements

TeMkA169 | First Released: October 21st, 2017 | Mod Type: Visual | Download Size: 54.2 KiB | Improved Graphics and Weather Link
Fallout 4 is a fantastic game, and the open-world gameplay and gunplay are still fun today. The visuals, on the other hand, haven’t aged well over the course of the game’s six years. Sure, they’re OK, but they might be better. “Better Graphics And Weather,” one of the finest visual modifications for Fallout 4 on PS4, aims to solve this in a few ways.
- What exactly does it alter? Reworks the game’s lighting and weather effects.
- What’s the point of having it? While touring the Commonwealth, it creates a more aesthetically attractive environment.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Any and all playstyles are acceptable.

| Mod Type: Settlement | Download Size: 1.1 MiB | All Settlements Extended Link | Creator: Neeher | Initial Launch: July 6th, 2017 | Mod Type: Settlement | Download Size: 1.1 MiB
Anyone who has messed around with Fallout 4’s settlement system knows that the areas Bethesda provided are a bit… confining. Mod creator Neeher’s “All Settlements Extended” significantly expands the buildable area of every settlement in the game, allowing you extra space to build the post-apocalyptic town of your dreams!
- What exactly does it alter? Increases the amount of land available for construction in all of the Commonwealth’s twenty-nine communities.
- What’s the point of having it? Allows you to construct larger towns and player bases.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Builds centered on village building and/or playthroughs of the Minutemen.

Settlements like Croup Manor make me question why Bethesda wouldn’t let us to develop anyplace. Croup Manor is in shambles and chaos in the first game. It’s incredible that it’s still standing 210 years after the bombs fell! Thankfully, mod creator NoRespawns has restored its inside, enabling wastelanders to build a real home here, easily making this one of the finest Fallout 4 PS4 modifications.
- What exactly does it alter? Removes all of the debris and rebuilds the mansion’s interior.
- What’s the point of having it? The mansion in the original game is tough to construct, however this mod solves that issue.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Builds geared for settlement building and role-playing as a rich wastelander.

RR Safehouse for Good Neighbors
Grooves Games/Bethesda.net/Grooves Games/Bethesda.net/Bethesda.net
| Mod Type: Player Housing | Download Size: 1009.8 KiB | RR Goodneighbor Safehouse Link | Creator: Grooves Games | Initial Launch: September 6th, 2017 | Mod Type: Player Housing | Download Size: 1009.8 KiB | RR Goodneighbor Safehouse Link
Although Goodneighbor is a fun location to explore, there isn’t much incentive to return after you’ve completed the major narrative objectives and acquired Hancock and MacCready as friends. If only there was a player-home here, similar to the one in Diamond City…
- What exactly does it alter? In Goodneighbor, adds a lore-friendly player-home.
- What’s the point of having it? It gives a sense of depth to a town that is otherwise empty.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Builds that aren’t centered on settlement and those who want to play as a Commonwealth outcast.

STS- Scrap That Settlement! Link Creator: 3lric | Initial Launch: November 17th, 2016 | Mod Type: Settlement/Quality of Life | Download Size: 2.0 MiB
If you like colony construction as much as I do, you’ll understand how irritating it can be to wander around a town you’ve spent hours creating only to find heaps of debris you can’t shred. STS is one of the finest Fallout 4 PS4 construction modifications.
- What exactly does it alter? Allows players to scrape things that were previously unscrapable (rubble, skeletons, mole-rat tunnels, etc).
- What’s the point of having it? To save your settlers from stumbling over corpses by cleaning up filthy villages.

In most shooting games, I play as a sniper, and most of them have the same visual issue: zooming in with a scope causes the majority of your screen to darken, leaving your scope as your sole means of seeing what’s in front of you. This isn’t just unrealistic, but it also doesn’t look very nice.
- What exactly does it alter? When using scopes to zoom in, the graphics are fixed, enabling you to view the region surrounding it.
- What’s the point of having it? When pointing down the sights, it aids in spotting adversaries.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Builds centered on snipers and other precise weapons.

Ethreon | November 20th, 2016 | Initial Launch | Mod Type: Settlement | Download Size: 568.5 KiB | OCDecorator Link
If you’ve ever attempted to place things in your colonies and had them knocked over by your settlers and companions, you know how frustrating it can be. Anyone who enjoys meticulously adorning their colonies will be relieved to learn that there is a mod that solves the problem.
- What exactly does it alter? Hundreds of non-movable versions of current goods may be placed anywhere in your communities.
- What’s the point of having it? To avoid having your goods knocked over by NPCs when decorating your player bases.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Any and all playstyles are acceptable.

While selfless and honorable, the Minutemen are one of Fallout 4’s weaker groups. When you encounter them for the first time, they are on life support and in desperate need of a makeover if they are to defend the Commonwealth. This mod adds new Minutemen classes, each with its own weaponry and armor that is superior to their original equivalents. Minutemen will still spawn in your towns and patrol the Commonwealth, but they will now be equipped with the equipment necessary to keep settlers safe!
- What exactly does it alter? The weapons and armor that Minutemen patrols spawn with are changed, providing them some much-needed firepower.
- What’s the point of having it? At a moment’s notice, to defend the people!
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Playthroughs of the Minutemen.

Settlement Supplies Have Been Increased
Bethesda.net/Ethreon/Ethreon/Ethreon/Ethreon/Ethreon/Eth

The mod “Settlement Supplies Expanded” was one of the first modifications released to Fallout 4, and it provides a ton of additional decorations for your settlements and bases. The greatest thing about this mod is that everything it adds is entirely lore-friendly and does not significantly alter the game.
- What exactly does it alter? Adds a slew of new decorations and construction materials to your communities.
- What’s the point of having it? Allows for greater basic customisation.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Builds that are centered on settlements.

‘Spring’ from SimpleGreen – Simple Seasons
ANDREWCX courtesy of Bethesda.net
SimpleGreen- Simple Seasons ‘Spring’ Link | Creator: ANDREWCX | Initial Launch: November 7th, 2016 | Mod Type: Visual | Download Size: 734.0 KiB
Even though Fallout 4 is set in a post-apocalyptic world, it may still be green. Given that the bombs were dropped 210 years ago, it’s reasonable to assume that trees would have recovered by now. By restoring green vegetation to the landscape, this patch corrects a weird anomaly in the narrative.
- What exactly does it alter? Around the Commonwealth, trees, verdant grass, and pre-war shrubs are added.
- What’s the point of having it? Makes the world seem less gloomy and more aesthetically attractive.
- What kind of playstyle does it suit? Playthroughs that aren’t survival-based.
