The first trailer for Marvel’s What If…? has arrived and it is a doozy. An upcoming Disney+ series, the show will explore what would happen if different characters from the MCU had gone down different paths.
Marvel’s What If…? Trailer Arrives, Disney+ Announces Summer Release Date.
The official teaser for Marvel’s What If…?, the new animated series that reimagines how key events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe might have played out differently, has been published by Marvel Studios. A new poster with the slogan “One question changes everything” has also been published. You can see the new video below, which includes real MCU actors repeating their roles as voiceovers for the series.
What If…? creates a “multiverse of limitless possibilities,” bringing back a number of fan favorites in all-new situations. This features Hayley Atwell reprising her role as Peggy Carter in an alternative world scenario in which she instead of Steve Rogers receives the super soldier serum. Chadwick Boseman, who died last year, reprises his role as T’Challa in the animated series, having recorded his lines for the show prior to his death. The latest video also shows a glimpse of his return, with the Black Panther superhero transforming into Star-Lord.

Samuel L. Jackson, Josh Brolin, Karen Gillan, Michael B. Jordan, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Taika Waititi, Mark Ruffalo, Paul Rudd, Michael Rooker, Natalie Portman, Sebastian Stan, Jeff Goldblum, Jeremy Renner, Neal McDonough, Dominic Cooper, Toby Jones, Sean Gunn, Frank Grillo, and others are among the MCU actors reprising their roles for the series. The Watcher, a figure who basically acts as the animated series’ narrator, is likewise voiced by Jeffrey Wright (Westworld, The Batman).
“In the comics, he’s an observer-and then some,” Wright told Disney’s D23 Magazine of his position. “He begins as an observer in the first season, but he progressively becomes more motivated by what he sees. Within the MCU, this series has an unlimited number of options. I’m open to everything. One thing I believe we’re seeing with Marvel and Kevin Feige’s leadership is that they’re painting on big, big canvases. I don’t attempt to predict anything, therefore I’m just as open to anything as the Watcher would be.”
What If…? is directed by Bryan Andrews, with AC Bradley acting as the lead writer. Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Brad Winderbaum. Marvel Studios’ first animated series, and the company is confident enough in its success that it has already started work on a 10-episode second season. While many of the known characters will return in Season 1, Bradley has promised a slew of unexpected appearances.
“Spoilers! But I can tell that there are a number of unexpected MCU appearances… and characters can and do appear in many episodes! “In January, the author said on Twitter.

“Kevin said we’ll be examining every movie in a fresh manner,” Bradley said to DiscussingFilm. “But not every episode will be about one movie, if that makes sense.” “We wanted to explore what would happen if the universes of Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy met, so we included this picture of a Star-Lord T’Challa on the reel [presented at D23 Expo]. That included bending two worlds, two to three movies, in different directions.”
