The chemistry between cousins Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) and Bruce Banner / Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) has shone out in the film, and one of their moments together has a startling Easter egg. Jennifer delivers the legendary “Don’t make me furious — you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry” remark at the conclusion of the clip, which seems to be a self-aware advertising for her legal firm. Dr. David Banner (Bill Bixby) uttered the phrase in an episode of the original The Incredible Hulk series, and the line — and the exact structure of the scene, down to Bruce’s light blue costume — pays tribute to that episode.

The statement is a brilliant reference to the beginnings of a lot of fans’ acquaintance with the Hulk, given that She-Hulk is the Hulk franchise’s first entry into television since the 1978 television series. Lou Ferrigno, who notably played Banner’s physical Hulk form on The Incredible Hulk, spoke up on the She-Hulk series earlier this year.
“I believe it’s a fantastic notion,” Ferrigno stated at the time, “but I think we have to become retrained from seeing too much special effects because the more real, organic the character can be, the more convincing.” “So we’ll have to wait and see what happens,” says the director. “It could work for ‘Star Wars,’ everything might work for other films, but you know, when you have too much CGI, it becomes complicated.”
Maslany plays Jennifer Walters, a New York City lawyer whose life is turned upside down after she is involved in an accident and needs a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner. As a consequence, Jennifer acquires her own kind of Hulk abilities, which have an impact on both her professional and personal lives.
