Kobe Bryant’s Deep Phone Call With a Famous Actor All Started Because They Sent Him an ‘Intoxicated’ DM

Kobe Bryant’s new book, The Mamba Mentality: How Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal Won Back the Title is available now. He talks about how he would send out an ‘intoxicated’ DM to a famous actor who then sent him a phone call that started their relationship from there on out.

Kobe Bryant’s Deep Phone Call With a Famous Actor All Started Because They Sent Him an ‘Intoxicated’ DM. The “where did kobe bryant grow up” is a story about Kobe Bryant and how he started his deep phone call with a famous actor all because they sent him an “intoxicated” DM.

Throughout his career, Kobe Bryant, of the Los Angeles Lakers, coached numerous sportsmen, particularly young hoopers who wanted to follow in his footsteps. He did, however, inspire successful talents outside of basketball with his Mamba Mentality.

In reality, Kobe once had a serious chat with well-known actor O’Shea Jackson Jr., which came about as a result of Jackson Jr. sending Bryant a “intoxicated” DM.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. is a major Lakers and Kobe Bryant fan, as everybody who knows him knows.

Jackson’s father is legendary rapper Ice Cube, who has long been a fan of the series. He also enjoys the sport as a whole, as seen by the fact that he founded the Big3 pro basketball league.

Ice Cube remarked on All The Smoke earlier this year, “I don’t remember when I wasn’t a Laker fan.”

Jackson Jr., on the other hand, is only 30 years old and grew up in Los Angeles during the Kobe Bryant era. And this, along with his father’s admiration for Bryant, led to his admiration for him.

“That man was my idol,” Jackson Jr. stated on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Dec. 9. “Going to work after losing my buddy was one of the most difficult days of my life.”

However, in the same broadcast, the actor told a hilarious Kobe anecdote.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. Wrote a Drunken DM to Kobe Bryant

O’Shea Jackson Jr. revealed the moment he sent Kobe a DM while speaking with tWitch, who was presenting The Ellen DeGeneres Show on the day he was on it.

“I was at home — a little tipsy — don’t judge me,” he explained, “and yeah, Kobe follows me on Twitter, so I was like, ‘You know what, I’ma DM Kobe.’” “I’m intoxicated, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m a DM Kobe,’” she says. So I walk up to Kobe and say, ‘Listen, guy, I’m just curious as to how you keep going?’ How can you not be satisfied? Can you tell me about any books you’ve read, movies you’ve seen, or quotations you’ve heard? ‘Please, give me something.’ He provided me with his phone number. So, ‘Uh-oh,’ I thought.

Of course, Jackson waited until Kobe was sober before speaking with him, but the DM led in the two having a lengthy chat about their lives and families.

He remarked, “He chatted to me for 25 minutes.” “We discussed our parents. He had a father who played in the league, and he was following in his footsteps; he was in the same world as me. He spoke about his work ethic, not being satisfied, and not feeling like he had accomplished enough.”

Most individuals, particularly if they’re under the influence, find it difficult to message random Twitter followers. It did, though, for Jackson. He had the opportunity to speak with his hero and learn from one of the most successful celebrities in history.

NBA Players Have Also Benefited From Kobe Bryant’s Guidance

While Kobe Bryant had a chat with Jackson Jr. that he would never forget, he also coached a number of NBA players.

According to ESPN, Kyrie Irving stated of Bryant in 2020, “I had that mentoring connection with him, where I was able to ask him nearly anything.” “You know, no matter how frightened or afraid I was, he was simply simple to approach with those kind of questions about what goes on on the day-to-day basis of pursuing something greater than yourself and trying to leave a legacy or something of a mark on a game,” I said.

Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns has also thanked Bryant for what he meant to him.

According to AZ Central, “the most important thing for me was winning his respect.” “To even be the man in the room that he wanted to chat to or give tips with after we played them.” Our romance progressed from there. I was just trying to figure out who he was outside of the Mamba Mentality. It was fantastic to see how he reared his girls and how much of a family guy he was.”

Kobe Bryant was not only a great basketball player, but he also seemed to be a great guy.
